Suncoast Waldorf summer camps now available

Palm Harbor, Florida -- The Suncoast Waldorf School has opened registration for their summer camps.

The school is offering week-long camps for kids 4-7 years old. 

The Summertime Honeybees camp engages children in creative indoor and outdoor play as well as arts and crafts, stories, music, circle games and water play. 

Resident Spanish teacher, Senora Rossano, will hold camps which immerse the children in Spanish and the rich culture of the Hispanic peoples through song, games, verses, movement and food.

Pollo Tropical is honoring teachers throughout May by giving 15 teachers from 15 counties free Pollo Tropical for a year through its Teacher of the Year campaign.

The winning teachers from each county are the ones with the most nominations from students and parents in their respective county.

Summer camp time has arrived

Palm Harbor, Florida -- Palm Harbor Parks and Recreation is already registering kids for a variety of summer camps but it's not too late!

A complete list of available camps including dates, times, locations and fees are available at www.phrec.org/all-camps.html.

Some of the camps you can sign up for include various sports, pottery, science and kayaking.

PSTA offers Summer Youth Haul Pass

Pinellas County, Florida -- This summer, while kids are out of school PSTA is offering a deal to help families save money with the Summer Youth Haul Pass!

Starting May 15 through Aug. 31, PSTA will offer the pass for unlimited rides to anyone under the age of 18 for $35. Also included are rides on the Clearwater Jolley Trolley. Excluded rides on PSTA are Routes 100X and 300X to Tampa.

Giving blood just got easier in Palm Harbor

Palm Harbor, Florida -- On Monday, May 14, a new state of the art Florida Blood Services center will open in Palm Harbor. The new donor center will be at 33825 US Hwy 19 North which is on the northeast corner of Nebraska Avenue in the Sabal Ridge Plaza.

The center will open at 8 a.m. Monday and will be open until 7 p.m. on Mondays, 5 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays and 2 p.m. on Saturdays. On Thursdays, they will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.  They will be closed on Tuesdays.
